Job Description :
The successful candidate will collaborate with internal teams to quickly resolve production issues and restore services, while contributing to automation and operational excellence. As part of a global support model, participation in on-call support rotations is required. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical expertise, a proactive mindset, and a willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new technologies.
Main Tasks:
- Proactively monitor, manage, and improve the availability and performance of production environments across presentation, application, middleware, and database layers.
- Provide escalation support within the global Follow The Sun support model.
- Monitor and manage application capacity, ensuring systems continue to meet business and operational demands.
- Configure, customize, and maintain production support tools, including monitoring platforms, scheduling solutions, backup systems, deployment tools, and automation frameworks.
- Analyze performance and capacity trends, providing recommendations and improvement plans to management.
- Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and support teams to troubleshoot incidents and implement sustainable solutions.
- Participate in incident, problem, change, and release management processes.
- Drive automation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reduce manual effort.
Technical Skills:
- Strong experience with Windows and Linux/Unix administration.
- Knowledge of IIS, .NET, WCF, WebLogic Application Server, Apache, Tomcat, Java EE and Nginx.
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Geneos, Dynatrace, Grafana, Prometheus and/or Dollar Universe.
- Strong scripting skills in Python, Shell Scripting and SQL.
- Experience with automation tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
- Knowledge of SQL Server and Oracle databases.
- Understanding of production support processes, including Incident, Problem, Change and Release Management.
- Familiarity with ITIL best practices.
