Project

The objective is to perform a full assessment of the SQL Server platform, ensuring stability, performance, resilience, and long‑term scalability.

The professional must have deep experience in critical environments (minimum 10 years) and advanced expertise in SQL Server Enterprise, Always On, Performance Tuning, and internals.

The project includes a diagnostic phase, an extended observation and shadowing phase of daily operations, and concludes with the delivery of reports, remediation plans, and knowledge‑transfer sessions.

Responsibilities

Monitor platform behavior over time.
Correlate events and identify progressive degradation.
Identify memory leaks, cache pollution, parameter sniffing, temporary object growth, fragmentation, and cumulative phenomena.
Follow the team’s hourly monitoring routines.
Review recovery procedures.
Accompany periodic cluster failovers.
Analyze incidents and alerts.
Ensure a real understanding of the platform’s behavior, avoiding diagnoses based solely on snapshots.
Minimum 10 years of experience in critical platforms.
Strong experience in advanced troubleshooting and tuning of high‑availability environments.
